The Parliamentary session on 30th January, discussed the draft law on the elections of the Citizen’s Representative’s Hural of aimags, capital city, soums and districts of Mongolia.
During the session parliamentarians asked questions and some international experiences also highlighted as suggestion to reduce polling hours and to shorten the period for public officials to give up their job before their nomination to the election. The draft law on local elections and its regulations are adopted by the majority of the members present at the session.
In addition, the amendments to the relevant laws to be made in compliance with the adopted Law on local elections as approved by the Parliament.
