Press conference on the preparation for 2020 Parliamentary election

The State Great Hural election of Mongolia shall be held this year in compliance with the Law on State Great Hural Election adopted on 20th of December last year.

In connection with the start of the regular election year, the General Election Commission organized a Press Conference with the government agencies that are legally involved in the election process. The representatives from the National Audit Office, General Authority of the State Registration, National Police Department, Communications Regulatory Commission, and Government Agency for Fair Competition for Customer have participated in the press conference and provided information on key issues to be considered in conducting election under the newly adopted Law on Election of the State Great Hural of Mongolia.

Following the briefing of Mr.Sodnomtseren, the Chairman of the General Election Commission who has also pointed out the specific changes that have been made to the Law on the State Great Hural Election of Mongolia, the representatives from government agencies answered to the questions asked by the journalists.

The General Election Commission of Mongolia has been constantly working with the Association of Disabled People and has organized certain activities to raise their awareness on elections and other improvements shall be done further to this work towards the people with disabilities, and especially to those with hearing impairments.
