The political parties and coalitions registered to participate in an election to the State Great Hural proposing their candidates and submitting required documents to the General Election Commission (GEC) following the Article 29.1; 29.2 of the Law on State Great Hural election (2019).
The nomination of independent candidates is ongoing at the same time from 17 to 21 April, 2020. As of 17.00 pm Sunday (17th), 13 out of 17 independent candidates have submitted their documents in compliance with the Article 32.3 of the Law on State Great Hural election (2019) of Mongolia and remaining 5 will re-submit after complete the required documents.
The Working group of the GEC on receiving and verifying the candidates’ documents shall then check whether the documents submitted is complete and if the documents are not complete, the documents can be re-submitted by candidates within the timeframe. The results will be presented to the General Election Commission’s Session.
